Amphibians Like You’ve Never Seen Before

Indonesian photographer Tanto Yensen may be the ultimate frog photographer. Based in Jakarta, his images of the little amphibians have been taking the world by storm.

Yensen captures the adorable green creatures with a Canon EOS 60D, and to date, his 500px website has well over a half-million views.

He’s snapped them underwater, playing dress up by using snails to look like Princess Leia, and even hitching a ride on the backs of turtles and crocodiles.

The photos of small tree frogs that vary in color from bright green to brown, are seen clinging onto each other as they hitch the free ride on a caiman’s back.

Apparently the animals are pretty clever. While the caiman looked a little bemused, it didn’t seem to mind its new pals taking advantage of the opportunity to get from point A to point B, though caimans are known to eat frogs, as well as snails, freshwater crayfish, spiders and small lizards.

Still, turtles are definitely a safer bet, as this little guy seems to know.

Yensen has captured them in some pretty amusing moments – apparently the frogs are able to make time for a little extracurricular activity too.

This guy thinks it’s all a comedy show anyway.

After all, when you’ve got frogs dressing up like Princess Leia, how can you not laugh?
